This Yoga Teacher Training offers the exclusive opportunity to study Yoga in India and Europe with highly experienced and internationally renowned Teachers.

Contents
You will receive training in all aspects of Yoga: Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and Bhakti Yoga.

At the end of the Certification Course you will be qualified to teach Yoga in a professional and knowledgeable manner.

You will be able to teach classes to different levels as well as classes on special subjects and will have sound knowledge of techniques for relaxation and stress-reduction, meditation and the nature of the human body and mind.

The Yoga Teacher Training will also qualify you to teach meditation and relaxation courses.

Knowledge and first-hand experience of the Yoga traditions and their background, Yogic cleansing techniques, and ceremonies rooted in Indian culture will also be elaborated on during the course of the Teacher Training.

In addition, the Teacher Training will cover important information about business and law-related aspects of being a Yoga Teacher, as well as nutrition, health and Yoga Therapy.

Teacher Training Schedule
The Teacher Training will consist of 681 teaching units, each 45 minutes in length (511 hours overall), spread over 50 days).

Altogether there will be 12 meetings, which have been organised as follows:

8 weekends and 1 long weekend in Cologne (Germany), one 6 day meeting in Germany, one 11 day meeting in Vrindavan (Northern India), one 5 day meeting in Germany.

Prerequisites
At least 1½ year of regular Yoga practice.
Intermediate knowledge of the Asanas. You need not be advanced in your asana practice to take part in the Teacher Training.
Familiarity with philosophy in general and/or yoga philosophy.
A great enthusiasm to learn and an enjoyment of teaching.
Perseverance, a desire for personal growth and openness for inner as well as outer change.

In 2 practical training years on 65 days (13 meetings) are given 716 instruction units (à 45 min).

Qualification and assesment
You will receive a certificate upon passing the end of course exam. In addition to this, participants may be eligible to obtain universitiy qualification (Bachelor Degree, University of India).

Costs

Training

  • Non-Students: 4875 €
  • Students of the University of Cologne: 3475 €

Additional costs:

  • Flight to India, (Delhi) currently about 750 €.
  • Visa for India, currently about 50 €.
  • Accommodation for 4th, 9th and 12th meeting (approx. 50 € per night in Germany/ India).
  • Shared costs for renting teaching space in Cologne (altogether ca. 250 €)
  • Transport to conference locations and the Ashram (Delhi-Vrindavan-Delhi ca. 60 €)
  • Shared cost ofinterpreter’s fee (where applicable, altogether ca. 170 €)

Important additional information
The Teacher Training will be provided in English and German. We will offer translation where necessary.

The Teacher Training is intensive! Apart from the training sessions you will be required to study at home (daily yoga practice, preparation for presentations, study of the scriptures …). Please note that personal study time is not included in the outline for the Teacher Training as mentioned above.
